Have you ever exerted yourself so severely that you pulled a muscle in your neck? This happened yesterday at pushup number 60-something out of 75. I was trying to make a good impression at the new dojo, and was working a bit too hard. I got a cramp in the very base of my skull. Way in there, right on my brain stem. I shrugged it off at the time as best I could because I didn't want to look like a complete dubba, and it didn't really hurt that bad... but it's now 19 hours later and it still hurts. I have this perpetual, dull aching pain in the very bottom of my brain.
Aspirin, Tylenol, Advil, Aleve, coffee... nothing seems to work. I think that a hot bath and a nap would probably do the trick, but instead I am sitting at work in the cold because some crazy person here thinks that 66°F is a comfortable room temperature.
Oh well... I'm going to drown my misery in a Tres Color´s from Shorty's Mexican Roadhouse. That ought to help.
